Welcome to Pacer's Corner

My Paramedic friends at Lima Allen County Paramedics have asked me to help pass along a reminder to you, your friends, and family.  Move R-I-G-H-T for emergency lights and sirens of police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances.

R-REACT quickly but calmly.  Scan all directions for more than one emergency vehicle.  Plan your next move.

I-INITIATE your move to the right.  Use your turn signal.  Try not to slam on your brakes or pull over suddenly.  Never, ever run a red light to move to the right.

G-GAUGE the distance between your car and the other cars around you are pulled over as far right as possible.  Never stop at a place that doesn’t have room to pull over safely.

H-HALT  Stay completely stopped to the right of the road until the emergency vehicle has passed, but remember there may be more than one vehicle responding so look in all directions before moving back into traffic.

T-TOLERATE the few minutes of your time that you have to stop for emergency vehicles.  They may be responding to help a friend, a loved one, or neighbor

You blink your eyes over 10,000,000 times a year!

Your fingernails grow almost four times as fast as your toenails

Your forearm (from inside of elbow to inside of your wrist) is the same length as your foot.

Your femur (thigh bone) is stronger than concrete and to think it’s hollow!

The average person has at least 7 dreams a night and each dream only last 2 to 3 seconds.

The average American over 50 will have spent 5 years waiting in line.

The width of your armspan from middle finger to middle finger is the length of your body.

Half your body’s red blood cells are replaced every seven days.  And you think you’re tired for school on Monday morning, what about your red blood cells?

One last thing from me, every year you get older, I get 7 years older because dogs age 7 times faster than humans.
